Marine Technical Advisory Team (MTAT) selection process underway
A Selection Panel has been appointed to review the nominees for the Marine Technical Advisory Team (MTAT) and recommend MTAT members to the PNCIMA Steering Committee. The MTAT is the scientific body that will provide multidisciplinary technical and scientific information and advice to the PNCIMA planning process.
The members of the Selection Panel are:
- Dr. Laura Brown - Director of Marine Ecosystems and Aquaculture Management in Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Pacific Region Science branch.
- Dr. Mark Zacharias - Assistant Deputy Minister, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Policy, in BC's Ministry of Environment.
- Dr. Rashid Sumaila - Director of the University of British Columbia Fisheries Centre and its Fisheries Economics Research Unit.
- Dr. Grant Murray - Canada Research Chair in Coastal Resource Management at Vancouver Island University.
