The PNCIMA initiative is made up of a broad range of people who contribute to the initiative in different ways.
Steering Committee
Representatives from the Federal, Provincial and First Nations governments make up the Steering Committee that provides strategic direction and executive oversight to the PNCIMA initiative.

The Planning Office is where the rubber meets the road. This is the team that has been established to play a coordinating role for activities and deliver products related to PNCIMA planning.

Integrated Oceans Advisory Committee (IOAC)
The Integrated Oceans Advisory Committee (IOAC) is an advisory body with participants from each of the main marine-related sectors in the region. They provide guidance to the planning process, its outputs and implementation of the PNCIMA plan.

Marine Technical Advisory Team
The Marine Technical Advisory Team (MTAT) is the body that will provide technical and scientific information and advice to the PNCIMA initiative across a full range of issues and disciplines
Working Groups
Working Groups will be formed on a time-limited basis to provide advice and recommendations on specific issues and/or products being considered in the development of the PNCIMA plan. Working Groups may be specific to a topic or to a geographic portion of the PNCIMA area, as appropriate.
Advisory processes
The PNCIMA initiative will discuss issues relevant to specific sectors or areas through existing advisory processes, where applicable. Recommendations will be brought to these bodies for their response and comment, which will then inform the work of the IOAC and Working Groups.
Everyone
This is an inclusive process. Everyone who has an interest in this ocean area is invited to be part of this initiative. Work. Live. Play. Research. Protect.
